Journey Expeditions are true vacation getaways into the outdoors.
In stead of planting yourself on a lounger at the beach we encourage you to go beyond your boundaries in to the beautiful wilds with us. Our 7-day camping and cycling expeditions take you along mountain trails, camping under star-lit skies, site seeing into beautiful and serene oases; places you're not likely to see by motor vehicle. From novice to experienced you are assured a true adventure

Our expeditions cost half as much as a traditional vacation yet offers more than twice the adventure, fun and excitement. Don't spend your next vacation looking at other people and shopping, this time make it extraordinary by spending it on a camping or cycling expedition; you'll always remember the experience as something wonderful.

JOURNEY GEORGIA APPALACHIAN TRAIL BACKPACKING EXPEDITION

Begin your summer with an adventurous outting along the Appalachian Trail in the mountains of Georgia. Experience the outdoors like never before backpacking and camping in the scenic mountain forest, fresh air and quiet surroundings; apply your camping and fitness skills along with others to meet the challenges and excitement that outdoor living offers. Conclude this Expedition refreshed, invigorated and fulfilled.

Rating: This expedition is for beginners and experienced.

Requirements: Backpack, tent, sleeping bag, comfortable clothing, hiking boots, rain-gear and toiletries. All other gear is provided by JOURNEY.

JOURNEY AROUND MARYLAND (JAM) CYCLE AND CAMP EXPEDITION

Seeing Maryland by bicycle can be pleasant and this is one of those times to do it. Our pace is comfortable enough to enjoy the scenes and fast enough to get us to numerous locations. JAM will carry us through several locales on Maryland's eastern shore, where there is such beauty whether cycling near the Atlantic ocean side or on the Chesapeake Bay side. Going through some of the little towns will also carry us back in time. JAM is a great way to enjoy cycling safely and with similar folk.

JOURNEY VIRGINIA APPALACHIAN TRAIL BACKPACKING EXPEDITION

Spend a week on the Appalachian Trail (AT) in Virginia; one of the most beautiful states to see. This expedition includes backpacking, day-hikes, camp-making and other camping activities - including mini-workshops for novices. Our expedition will carry us into the interior of Virginia's wilderness where for a week we will be transformed to living an earlier, yet enjoyable, lifestyle. Like all extended outings this one will be memorable.

Rating: This expedition is for beginners and experienced.

Requirement: Backpack, tent, sleeping bag, comfortable clothing, hiking boots, rain-gear and toiletries. All other gear is provided by JOURNEY.

JOURNEY TO COLORADO - BACKPACKING EXPEDITION

Rendezvous in Denver, we'll have dinner and make acquaintances. Afterwards we will spend the next seven days exploring, hiking and camping in the mountains of Colorado. First We'll head to Boulder, where we will camp and day-hike, then its further north to the Rocky Mountains. There we will tour the various mountain ranges by driving and hiking. When we finish we will have seen some of the most beautiful sites the earth possess, will have looked out from mountain tops, had one of the best exciting adventures ever, and have made new friends. We will all proclaim we wish we could do it all over again. This is a Journey Outing not to be missed.

Rating: This 'car-camping' expedition is for beginners and experienced. This is not a backpacking trip.

Requirement: Travel to and from Denver. Comfortable clothing, hiking boots, rain-gear, sleeping bag and toiletries. All other gear is provided by JOURNEY.
